Validation of the Modified University of Washington Resilience Scale for People with Aphasia

Study Description:
The purpose of the study is to test the modified University of Washington Resilience Scale for people with aphasia to validate the test and to learn about resilience, stress, and well-being in people with aphasia. This online study can be completed in 1 to 2 Zoom sessions on a computer, laptop, or tablet.
Aphasia Friendly Study Description:
We invite you to help validate a scale on resilience for people with aphasia.
Inclusion / Exclusion Criteria:
1) You have a diagnosis of aphasia 2) A stroke that occurred at least 6 months ago 3) You are at least 21 years old 4) You speak English 5) You have at least a high school education 6) Access to a computer, laptop, or tablet to participate in Zoom sessions. Exclusion Criteria: 1) You have a diagnosis of a progressive or other neurological disorder (examples: Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease) 2) You have a diagnosis of a psychiatric disorder (example: schizophrenia).
