Study Description:
The University of Illinois’s Speech Accessibility Project, with Lingraphica and other leaders as partners, has one goal: to improve speech technology for people with a range of diverse speech patterns and disabilities.
Aphasia Friendly Study Description:
The purpose of this study is to help computers understand the different ways that people speak.
Inclusion / Exclusion Criteria:
Inclusion: -Adults of all ages -HAVE a speech and/or language impairment from stroke -CAN answer yes/no questions -CAN follow basic instructions -CAN read or repeat simple sentences -HAVE Internet access with computer or tablet -HAVE someone who can help you log on.

Duration of Study:
Each participant has up to 3 months to log onto a website to record 600 speech prompts. Some finish much sooner than that.
Each participant can receive up to $180 in Amazon e-codes (Amazon electronic gift cards). Each helper can receive up to $90 in Amazon e-codes (Amazon electronic gift cards).
